Review - Zeiss Conquest 3-12x50 illuminated
Jun 20, 2014
It’s always like Christmas when a new optic arrives by courier but when the optic in question is a new model Zeiss Conquest rifle scope, it’s time to go and play. The first thing that hits you even before you see the scope is the quality of the packaging that accompanies it. Quality through and through right down to the really sweet magnetic catches on the box that you will find yourself opening and closing a couple of times enjoying the novelty.
So to the scope itself, it’s certainly very similar to the Duralyt but the more traditional black fits it well. The ergonomics are really nice to the touch and optically it’s everything you would expect and more especially when you illuminate the dot at the centre of the reticule, in this case no. 60 my preferred choice.
So to the zeroing and predictably it came right in as dialled and was on the money in 6 shots and ready to go out in the field with clients. Having been a Duralyt user before the new Conquest came out I have to say I never really thought I’d enjoy a scope more but the Conquest now sits proud and I for one am glad I have one. This is a fantastic first choice of rifle scope for the recreational or professional deer stalker.
