Specialist Deer & Wildlife Course

The Specialist Deer & Wildlife Management course is a unique course developed to be an unquestionable standard for those who have responsibilities for wildlife management . This course came out of a recognition that there are huge skill gaps that exist in the current training available that is largely deer sector focussed, lacking the key elements of risk assessment, public perception and wider species that the hunting community have responsibilities to manage. After all, the main standard available for shooters to demonstrate Police recognised competence is the Deer Stalking Certificate Level 1 that is solely deer focussed. While a benchmark for the deer sector, the vast majority of new shooters do not start with deer stalking but work their way up from rabbits through foxes to deer. This course is everything that new and experienced firearms owner can use to be the benchmark for knowledge, understanding and measurable firearms competence in the management of species across the UK quarry list. This course is Lantra approved with assessment to validate the achievement of the learner with certification and award badge specific to the award
