DSC Level 1

Our intensive two day course is delivered by Paul Adkins, one of the leading UK instructors whose 10 year of professional teaching experience caters for all levels and abilities of learner. Taught with a blend of theoretical and practical skills in a relaxed and informal setting, this training sets high standards in preparing candidates to pass the assessments comfortably.

Certification

Candidates who complete all 5 elements of the DSC 1 assessment will have their papers internally verified by our supporting assessment centre (SRUC Barony Campus) and provided there are no problems, DMQ will be informed of the successful pass who will then issue the DSC 1 certificate.

Entry Requirements

No entry requirements are necessary to come on the course, however, participants must hold relevant insurance through their membership with either SACS, BASC, Countryside Alliance, or through a personal cover. Candidates do not require a Firearms Certificate and a rifle will be provided for candidates who require the use of one.

Rifles and Ammunition

Rifles to be used must be a minimum of .222 calibre. A rifle and ammunition for use by candidates will be provided for the shooting assessment if required. Our rifle is often used in place of the candidates own rifle as it is specifically tuned for candidates to use for this assessment and delivers an exceptionally high standard of accuracy.
